PROFILE OF SARBANI DAS
Sarbani Das is the Founder and Chairperson of Gandhi Gurukul Group of Educational Institution She has 20 years of experience in the Hotel and Hospitality Industry. She was born and brought up in various cities of Maharashtra. Her Schooling was from Kendria Vidyalaya from Maharashtra of India.
She has completed her Graduation in Hotel Management from IHM Taratala, Kolkata. Completed her M. Sc in Hotel Management from Himalayan University and MBA in Hotel Management from Kanpur University. Presently she is pursuing her PHD from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal (MAKAUT) .
With a vision sometime in mid-2000 the Gandhi Gurukul Group started started operations with the name of Gandhi Academy of Management Studies. The mission was to impart education in the managerial field of study to the young and budding students of mostly Eastern and North Eastern India. Her dream was to give these students a global exposure with a pocket friendly course fee. To top it all with excellent placement. Her vision is to create an Institution par excellence, for imparting quality management education and sharing knowledge with everyone. Her motto, “Global Mindset – Indian Roots”, permeates every aspect and activity at GANDHI INSTITITUTE OF MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY OF KOLKATA.

Over the past 20 years, GIMT has successfully imbibed several of the proven best practices from the best global business schools, adapted them to make them better suited to Indian realities and introduced many of its own innovations in management education. Together, these have ensured that an educational experience at GIMT is truly transformational for thousands of aspiring and experienced management professionals as evidenced by the performance of our alumni across several countries worldwide.
Out of a similar vision, GIMT was born and her goal has been to impart quality education in the field of professional studies to the young and budding students of Eastern and North-Eastern India. Her dream was to give these students Global Exposure with an affordable and economical budget. She started her journey with 26 bright young students in the year 2004. Each of them was very special- a bright hope for the Millennium.
After that her team acquired two land area and built Management Colleges with a state of the earth facility in two different locations.

- GURUKUL MANAGEMENT STUDIES AT BHATPARA KANKINARA, WEST BENGAL.
Under the two Management Institutes she introduced various Management (undergraduate courses and Diploma Courses ) – HOTEL MANAGEMENT , B.B.A. B.C.A. Cruise Line Management, M.B.A. , MHA , Hospital Management.
In the Year 2019 GNM and B.Sc Nursing Course started under KNC , APNC and WBNC and successfully completed 5 Years and our students has been placed in all over India under Gandhi Institute of Management and Technology.
She is Planning to open up Nursing Colleges Under Indian Nursing Council and West Bengal Nursing Council along with . Total No of Nursing Seats 120 No, Paramedical Course 100 Seats.
We would conclude by naming few awards we’ve been blessed with over the years, as the CSR Prize in Institute category, Royal National Leadership Award ‘18(Best Mgt Institute), Zee Chobbis Ghonta Education Excellence In Innovative Courses ’20,etc., etc. Also, Our academic affiliations include the prestigious Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), Bharat Sevak Samaj & NEISBUD,GoI, etc. We keenly hope to add the name of the Jharkhand Govt to the list in the years to come Sir.
Now she is with a new mission and vision to develop a Technical & Management University contributing to overall educational excellence of Bengal and other states in India in the decisive coming years , She is entering the hard-core health care sector .
She has acquired RAMAKRISHNA MULTISPECIALITY HOSPITAL ( A UNIT OF SARBANI HOSPITALITY AND HEALTH CARE SERVICES PVT LTD )
100 Beded Hospital , 64 nos General Bed and Luxury Cabin – 10 Bedded ICU , 8 Bedded HDU, 6 Bedded NICU with 6 Bedded Dialysis Unit and 4 Modular OT’s . ITU OPD Department, CT Scan Cath Lab, TMT Dialysis – 4 Modern pathology / X-Ray etc. along with all modern infrastructure facilities of a Multispecialty Health Centre.
